Since the 1980s, Liebherr-France SAS has been developing and producing crawler excavators for special applications, in particular selective dismantling, tunnel construction and material handling.
Electric models powered by a cable have also been in the Liebherr-France SAS portfolio for more than 30 years as an alternative to the diesel engine. In addition, custom-made products have always been an important feature and anchored in the history of the company.

A heterogeneous field of application such as the construction industry requires machines that customers can use individually anywhere in the world, depending on the place and type of work – and in doing so meet both the performance and environmental requirements on site.
Against this background and following its corporate philosophy, the group of companies continued to invest in the individual design of its products in 2020. The new Liebherr Application Center, which handles special orders for “tailor-made” machines, is intended to meet the increasing customer demand for individual solutions in the future. Customer requests coming through the sales network are systematically analyzed by a team of specialists with a thorough knowledge of both the products and the potential areas of application.
The aim of the multidisciplinary and diversified team is above all an improved ability to react to the customer. The optimized integration of projects running parallel to series production into the processes of Liebherr-France SAS also contributes to this.

The “Liebherr Application Center”, which makes it possible to adapt machines even more extensively to customer requirements and their varying projects, will in future be able to offer highly individual products of the highest quality directly ex works.
The center’s scope of services includes feasibility studies and studies on the adaptability based on the standard models, the guaranteed CE marking, the proven manufacturer quality level and, last but not least, a high availability of spare parts.
